Locking wall mount rack in the Basement. Raspberry Pi5s’ running Plex Server, Home Assistant, and Scripted. Two 28TB WD Cloud Storage, Linksys switch with POE, Amcrest NVR (16 Cameras) for security cameras. Linksys velop wifi6 mesh with wired back hauls. All running through firewalla purple as the gateway to verizon FIOS ONT.
Could really use more Firewalla products in what my kids call the “Harry Potter” closet under the stairs. As a dad to 4 girls under 12 this could also use a lot of TLC. Recently took the Firewalla Orange on a 12-hour road trip to the beach in a van to allow only access to Plex over hotspot.
Need a bit TLC but not terrible. The switch would allow me to combine some of this cheaper small switches and cut down on cables with the PoE.
I had about 2 weeks after moving to get this together before deploying.
Contents: Fiber Gateway, Firewalla Gold Pro, GS-108E, POE+ Inserter (to driveway cam), usb powered fan, 2x MOCA 2.0 Adapters (1 is only 2 nodes for “turbo mode”, other has 3 nodes total) .
This setup feeds 3x AP7Ds. (House is pre-wired for 2x ceiling APs, but don’t have POE switch yet)
Still to be hooked up (didn’t get UAB shipment yet)- Phillips Hue Bridge, Magic Jack, RasberryPi Server, etc.)
Long-term plans: faster switch here, and one upstairs in the Game / Computer room, AP7C in a weatherproof box (or a true outdoor FW AP); NAS of some sort to replace the Apple Time Capsule that finally died about 3 months ago; Moca 2.5 (or 3.0 if it ever comes out) to areas that don’t have ethernet (Cinder block construction…not running ethernet), TV antenna in attic (conceted through orange conduit in top of cabinet) connnected to LAN solution (HDHomeRUN, Tablo, etc.) and Server (Plex?).
